Homebuyers are snapping up properties at a new-build north Devon location, with the proximity of the Tarka Trail and surrounding countryside playing a key part in its popularity.
The Bovis Homes team at The Langinds in Braunton
Alan Gilfillan, site manager at Bovis Homes’ The Landings development in Braunton, said customers were delighted with the quality of build there, and the easy access to the famous walking and cycling trails, as well as to towns like Ilfracombe and Okehampton.
Local man Alan, who has lived in nearby Barnstaple for 29 years, said demand had been high at The Landings, where there are now just four properties left to buy.
“We are so well located, this is just the perfect area,” he said. “I’ve lived here for almost 30 years and it’s such a great place for couples, young families and the elderly.
“There really is something for everybody here, whether it’s shops, entertainment, beaches or you’re keen on cycling or walking.
“The Tarka Trail, which runs right alongside us, is such a wonderful benefit and makes The Landings very popular.”
Alan, who has worked at the location for six months, hailed his team – assistant site manager Stuart Weir, materials controller and new dad Sam McQueen Jones, apprentice bricklayer Chris Elliott and labourer Ben Light – for their drive to deliver stunning homes and great service to new residents.
He said: “Our team all live locally and they have a great relationship with our contractors and customers who, I think, admire their energy, honesty and integrity.”
The Landings has just four homes left to sell in its current phase. They include the three-bedroom Sheringham, four-bedroom Salisbury and five-bedroom Chester.
Hayley Wright, sales advisor at The Landings, said there was a great sense of community at the location, with youngsters attending nearby schools such as Caen Community Primary School and Braunton Academy, while many residents work at the Royal Marines Base at Chivenor.
Hayley, from Snapper, said: "So many people know each other here and we have a great mixture of families, those that have connections to the military and those that have relocated to be close to the many beautiful areas nearby. And they all benefit from the great quality and value for money on offer!"
