Getting around
Eccleshall is seven miles west of the county town of Stafford, with the A5013 providing a direct route.
The A5013 also provides easy access to Junction 14 of the M6, which links the area to the West Midlands to the south, Stoke-on-Trent and Cheshire to the north.
Trains run from Stone and Stafford stations to London Euston as well as to Stoke-on-Trent and Crewe. Both stations are only seven miles away.
For air travel the nearest airports are Birmingham, Manchester and East Midlands, all about 50 miles away.
A trip to the shops
There is a great choice of local shops and services in Eccleshall including a butchers, greengrocers, newsagents and two local supermarkets. A monthly farmer's market also takes place in the high street.

Taking time out
Eccleshall has many local groups and a busy Community Centre. There are many thriving sports clubs, a children's play area and allotments.
This historic town is home to the impressive Holy Trinity Church dating back to 1195 and isn't far from the 900-year-old Stafford Castle
The town has six pubs, two takeaway outlets and there are sports centres with many facilities including swimming pools in both Stone and Stafford.
Stafford has its own three-screen cinema and the town's Gatehouse Theatre is ideal for music, drama, comedy and entertainment events.
Education
Eccleshall pre-school takes youngsters from two years and Bishop Lonsdale Church of England Primary School in Eccleshall caters for children aged from five to ten years.
For senior pupils there is Stafford's Sir Graham Balfour High School and the Blessed William Howard a Catholic High School.
St Dominic's Priory School in Stone is an Independent Day School and Nursery educating children from 3 months to 16 years.
