Bovis Homes site manager, Lee Woodward has been awarded a coveted second NHBC (National House Building Council) Pride in Job Quality Award 2020, for building homes of an exceptional quality at Pebble Beach in Seaton.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary, Pride in the Job recognises the UKs top site managers – with more than 11,000 competing for the annual awards. As well as undergoing spot checks on the day-to-day running of the sites, each candidate is assessed across 38 areas of site management, including their technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and the quality controls they have in place.

Lee has been selected as one of the best site managers in the UK, joining 450 other Quality Award winners. Commenting on the announcement, Lee said: “I feel incredibly proud to have won two years on the trot. Every morning I walk the site first thing to make sure everything looks perfect, consistency is key to me and I like the site to be tidy so it can operate effectively – the saying ‘tidy site, tidy mind’ is so true. Clark Rutland, a Shrivenham-based site manager working for Vistry Group at Bovis Homes’ Townsend Place development, is celebrating after receiving a prestigious national award for housebuilding quality.

Clark, a big Swindon Town fan, won the National House Building Council’s Pride in the Job Quality Award, after being selected from more than 11,000 inspected sites across the UK.

Children with disabilities and special needs are to benefit after a national housebuilder in Kenilworth donated building material to help develop space at a charity-run farm for them to relax.

Bovis Homes – part of the newly-formed Vistry Group – has provided all remaining required materials, including plaster and skirting board, to complete The Langdale Trust project at its farm, Spencer’s Retreat, in Berkswell.

A Cheshire housebuilder has made a £500 charity donation to help homeless people, after a colleague met with a charity boss by chance as his elderly mum bought a new-build home.

Bovis Homes – which is part of the newly-formed Vistry Group – donated the funds to homelessness movement Emmaus after meeting an area CEO who had booked an appointment and visited the housebuilder’s Hazelmere new-build location in Haslington on behalf of his 75-year-old mother.

A Stafford-based marketing manager has praised the support of her housebuilding employers after attaining a key professional qualification.

Louise Macrae, of Vistry Group – which includes Bovis Homes and Linden Homes – has been awarded a merit in the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) Leadership Level 7 postgraduate diploma, which she achieved while working at the housebuilder’s regional headquarters at Dunston Hall.

Image for Vistry to start on first phase of 200 new homes at Cambourne West near Cambridge

Home hunters in Cambridgeshire are set to benefit after Vistry Group secured reserved matters planning approval for 200 homes at a new location close to the popular Cambourne community.

Vistry, which includes Bovis Homes and Linden Homes, aims to start work on its first phase of Cambourne West in the coming months.
