Getting Around

Buses run adjacent to the development to Basingstoke Town Centre, Newbury and many local villages. Trains from Basingstoke go direct to London Waterloo in as little as 45mins, and the cities of Winchester and Southampton in 14mins and 31 mins respectively. The nearby A339 takes you direct to Junction 6 of the M3 by car in less than 10mins, which conveniently links you to London and the South coast. For air travel, London Heathrow is approx 35 miles away and Southampton only 32 miles.

A trip to the shops

Basingstoke is Shoppers paradise! In Festival Place there are high street names such as Debenhams, Marks and Spencer, Boots, Top Shop and many more. And the surrounding streets boast numerous independent shops from art to jewellery. At Basing View, John Lewis Home gives an even greater selection of items for your new Bovis Home! For supermarket shopping there's Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Morrisons. Not forgetting Basingstoke Market on Wednesday and Saturday selling a range of fresh produce. Taking time out

Basingstoke Leisure Centre is less than 10 mins away from Nightingale View and has a host of activities for everyone. Education in Basingstoke

Nightingale View is well catered for with primary schools, with Castle Hill Primary school just a short walk away and St Bede's Catholic school and Sherborne St John Church of England a bit further afield. For secondary schools the Fort Hill Community School is the closest secondary school to Nightingale View for education from year 7 to year 11 and a little further away is Bishop Challoner Catholic School approximately 3.3 miles. For post 16 education there is Basingstoke College of Technology offering a variety courses from animal management, business and sports courses, a great stepping stone to the working environment or university.


From junction 6 on the M3 go north towards Basingstoke. Take the 2nd exit onto the A339, after approximately 2 miles take the slip road left. At the roundabout take the 4th exit onto the A340/Aldermaston Road after ¼ mile turn left onto Priestley Road.
