Home hunters in Oxfordshire can be the first to view properties from the new range just released by one of the country’s leading housebuilders at a special launch event in the county.

The show home launch and champagne reception is taking place at Bovis Homes’ Hampton Meadow location in Stadhampton on Saturday, 19th January. The event runs from 11am to 4pm.

Image for Christmas comes to Sherford as community celebrates festive light switch-on

Sherford residents, school pupils and the local community turned out in force to spread festive cheer at the town’s annual Christmas light switch-on event. Raising funds for Sherford Vale school, the growing community enjoyed a seasonal sing-along with local choirs from Sherford Vale school and Yealmpton, while gathered around the town’s mammoth 30ft Christmas tree, which took centre stage at Sherford’s first town square.

Organised by the Sherford Consortium - the partnership of developers responsible for the town, Bovis Homes, Linden Homes and Taylor Wimpey - the event marked a monumental milestone for the growing community, with over 100 residents now living at the town.

Guests were treated to mince pies and a selection of festive carols from Sherford Vale’s school choir, with headteacher, Helen Tipping, leading the switch on count down. There were further festivities during the afternoon as Sherford Vale also welcomed visitors to its first Christm... more

Gloucestershire businesses gathered together and raised £14,792 in one night for the Chamwell Centre charity, helping the special needs fund-raising project a step closer to its £5 million target.

Bovis Homes, which has its Western office based in Bishop’s Cleeve, brought together many of its contractors at Cheltenham Ladies College for a special charity ball to celebrate their partnerships and to raise funds.

A local housebuilder is celebrating the recent Government announcement that first-time buyers are exempt from stamp duty when using shared ownership by treating buyers who reserve and move in before Christmas.

Bovis Homes is inviting house hunters to visit its locations across the West Midlands on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th November to find out more about its Home Reach scheme, and for a limited time, buyers can reserve for just £99.

More military personnel should join the housebuilding industry as they hold the transferrable skills necessary to ‘get to the top’, according to a former Lance Corporal in Salisbury who is doing just that.
